Amongst the Grass

First I would like to say that you've done a wonderful job on this piece! You've made the My Little Pony FiM style your own with the shading and the pose. It makes my pony wanna join her on the soft grass.

Speaking of the grass, that is one of the key things that could've been executed better in this piece. It seems as though the shadow under Lyra is on top of the blades of grass. It kind of looks like the layers go (from top to bottom) Shadow/Grass/Lyra. The grass blades just don't pop out as much underneath her.

And the clouds. I don't know if it's a style thing, but it seems like they were really rushed. Kind of like you didn't want to do them. It would be okay to use vector clouds in this case. Or maybe add more of a whispy feel to them? And they seem a bit too organized. There are three whiter ones on top and 3 darker ones below all on the same line and they're all similar shapes and sizes. Try various cloud sizes and shapes and stagger them around.

Overall you've done well and this is one for my favorites. Just a little more practice and you've got it nailed!
